Born and raised in Sofia, Bulgaria, Gabriela (Gabbie) Aleksova moves across the world at 19 years old to pursue a BFA in Photography and Imaging at the Tisch School of the Arts at New York University. She completes her education and spends five years in New York City - working in the photo field among incredibly talented artists, perfecting her craft and participating in several exhibitions - before she returns to Sofia to learn and create in a new environment. She specializes in portrait and fashion photography, with some of her favorite subjects being artists and dancers, as well as herself (not out of vanity, but rather out of convenience). No matter who stands in front of her lens, she always emphasizes their movement, intensity, grace and strength.
